Description

This is a story which I would strongly not recommend reading unless you want to be majorly spoiled for the main Mistborn series and also get hints at some of the things which happen within the Wax and Wayne series. He is currently trapped at the Well of Ascension, but seeks to escape and bring an end to the world. Again, it's unclear what here is the original material and what's Shardic influence, especially since we know from the Letter that Ati used to be a good man and he's. Because of this, it should definitely be read after those three books at least, if not after all six others. Kelsier asks one of them as they transition through his realm if it's over, and she says that the end is near.

Desperate to prevent himself passing on, Kelsier tricks Preservation into revealing that the Well of Ascension is nearby, and is capable of anchoring him as a Cognitive Shadow. Here, Kelsier finds Vin, but he is unable to get close enough to tell her anything about Ruin's plan, as Ruin is using his power to keep Kelsier away. Obviamente deben haber un montón de cosas y detalles que todavía no termino de entender porque me falta leer varios libros del Cosmere. Brandon Sanderson is such a talented author, and seeing him talk about this elaborate universe that he has created, with his stories that link it all together, made me awestruck.Definitivamente no es la de mayor calidad, eso está claro, pero por cómo me hizo sentir, Mistborn: Secret History es de lo más extraordinario que he leído. Moreover, he chose Spook - the kid who was very, very traumatized by being spiked and manipulated by Ruin - as his partner in crime. Resurrecting characters is a "dangerous trope" because Brandon wants death to be a real danger for his characters. As with most things which delve heavily into Realmatics and the entire Cosmere universe, this book left me with more questions than answers. Physical descriptions of Ati and Leras, to start with, including clothing that struck me as very interesting.

When he asks Preservation to help him stop Ruin, Preservation tells him to head across the ocean for help. I don't want to give too much away so I'll just say it's about Kelsier and what happened to him from the point he sacrificed himself to the Lord Ruler. We see the way they react and the things they learn, and we see so much new stuff that it's hard to recount it all and consider all of the implications it has right off for the Cosmere. Brandon Sanderson continues to be one of the authors I try to read as soon as he publishes something, and he very rarely disappoints!

In the OG trilogy all that is said is that Elend didn't know that he was watching a God die, and I thought it was impactful. Holds an epic speech about how he's "the Survivor" and can't be killed, until he gets rudely interrupted by a god bitch-slapping him to death. This is why the famous Stick in Words of Radiance resisted Shallan - having been in the wilderness for its entire existence, there was nothing in its cognitive aspect that could be turned towards combustion.

in the Mistborn series, it is advisable to read it after book 6 (The Bands of Mourning) due to some minor spoilers. Brandon Sanderson is a Number One New York Times bestseller, a Sunday Times bestseller, and a David Gemmell and Hugo Award winner, his novels have sold more than 40 million copies around the world. Succeeds at gaining God powers, but reluctantly has to admit that being a true God isn't really his shtick. The author’s introduction and afterword also suggest that readers should read the later Mistborn novels featuring Wax Ladrian. The original trilogy is totally complete with just what is in it but this added a new layer and depth like her is what Sanderson was thinking but he can’t tell you that since it would give too much away. Kelsier tearfully reunites with Vin and watches as she too chooses to pass on to the Afterlife with Elend. but thankfully, Sanderson'll be on tour again in February, so maybe I'll get to change that balance somewhat.
